Daniel appeared in Steven Spielberg's critically acclaimed film West Side Story, produced by 20th Century Fox.
Daniel starred as the title role in Billy Elliot the Musical, directed by Stephen Daldry. He first performed the role at Her Majesty's Theatre in Melbourne Australia, and later on the United States Broadway Tour. Broadway World Reviews described him as "beyond amazing with a powerful performance..." Whilst touring, he appeared as a guest performer on The Price is Right, presented at Pixar Studios, and sang the US National Anthem at AT&T Park, San Fransisco.
Daniel appeared in West Side Story at Asolo Repertory Theatre as the role of Baby John. He then continued the same role on the International Tour of West Side Story, hitting cities all around the globe including Paris, Tokyo, Dubai, Dublin, Prague and Auckland. For his performance, it was stated that "...the intensity he brought to the stage meant you can't look away."
